		<description><![CDATA[Coming up from October 12 - 21, 2012 is the Georgia Mountain Fall Festival at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds in Hiawassee, Georgia.]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Coming up from <strong>October 12 &#8211; 21, 2012</strong> is the Georgia Mountain Fall Festival at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds in Hiawassee, Georgia. What better time to have a festival in the mountains of north Georgia than the fall. Enjoying the beautiful display of fall colors and the crisp mountain air is just the beginning of a good time. The festival will be 10 days of great arts and crafts, a flower show, music shows, the annual fiddler&#8217;s convention, helicopter rides, and Fearless Flores Thrill Shows. Below is the schedule of events.</p>
<p>Daily Crafts and Exhibits will be open from 10 AM to 8 PM every day but Sundays. Sunday hours are 10 AM to 6 PM. The Fearless Flores Thrill show can be seen 2 times each weekday and 3 times on the weekends. Helicopter rides will be given by Blue Ridge Helicopters on October 17, 18, and 19.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Young Harris Art Fest will take place at Mayors Park in Young Harris, Georgia on <strong>August 25th and 26th, 2012</strong>. The festival will be open Saturday 10 AM  to 5 PM and Sunday 10 AM to 4 PM. Over 70 juried arts and crafts vendors will be displaying their hand made work.  Some of the work includes pottery, fused glass, fine art, wood turning, fabric art, jewelry, wood working, photography, soaps and candles. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Georgia Mountain Moonshine Cruiz-In begins on <strong>August 9, 2012</strong> at 9 AM with a 60 mile Mountain Cruise through the beautiful mountains of North Georgia starting at the Ridges Resort in Hiawassee, Georgia to Anna Ruby Falls, continuing on to Hiawassee&#8217;s new wine vineyard, then ending back into downtown Hiawassee for a late lunch. Visiting Anna Ruby Falls will cost $3 unless you have a senior pass, then it is free!</p>
<p>The Cruiz In will continue through August 11 in downtown Hiawasse, the Ridges Resort and at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds with plenty of live music along with cars, cars, and more cars! There will be a huge parade with a street dance in downtown Hiawassee on Friday night starting at 7 PM. You will be able to see a &#8217;68 Impala that was featured on the TV show &#8220;Muscle Car&#8221; as well as  Larry Price&#8217;s &#8220;The Black Phantom&#8221;, the only person ever to outrun the legendary lawman Buford Pusser of Walking Tall fame. Meet special guests, legendary drag racing driver Bobby Umsted and drag racer and organizer for Cars for Kids Southern Style Larry Price, as well as Dennis Gage and Linda Vaughn. This play will hilariously cover ALL of Shakespeare&#8217;s plays in just 90 minutes. The way they will be presented will leave you busting a gut in laughter. This is recommended for mature audiences.</p>
<p>Showtimes will be at 7 PM. Tickets are $15 for the general public, $13 for members of the Byron Herbert Reece Society. Take advantage of your time by arriving early to tour the beautiful grounds of the Byron Herbert Reece Farm and Heritage Center. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It&#8217;s that time again for the Georgia Mountain Fair at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds in Hiawassee, Georgia. The fair will be in town from <strong>July 20 &#8211; 29, 2012</strong>. See the many artisans diplaying their arts and crafts. The crafters are selected by a special committee with many years of festival experience and patrons should expect lots of one of a kind handmade works of art. The crafts and exhibits will be open daily Monday &#8211; Thursday 10 AM to 8 PM, Friday 10 AM to 9 PM, Saturday 9 AM to 9 PM, and Sunday 10 AM to 6 PM.</p>
<p>Carnival rides will be open daily, Monday through Friday opening at 4 PM, Saturday opening at 12 Noon, and Sunday opening at 1 PM.</p>

<p>Vince Gill began his musical career playing bluegrass music. He joined the country-rock band, Pure Prairie League in 1979 and recorded 3 albums with them. In 1983 he moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue his dream as a country music artist. His talent led him to the top where he continues to soar with many albums and even more awards. He is a member of The Grand Old Opry, has sold over 26 million albums, has earned 18 CMA awards, including Entertainer of the Year, 20 Grammy awards, has been inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, and his career is far from over!</p>

The entertainment starts at 7 PM with the music of Hiawassee&#8217;s own Steven Phillips and Midnight Express and a special appearance will be made by &#8220;Elvis&#8221; better known as Roy Perren, the Towns County High School Principal. The rodeo starts at 8 PM with bulls, barrels, broncs, and more! There will be food vendors, t-shirts, and a silent auction, lots of fun for the whole family.</p>
<p>The venue for this sporting event is The Stables at Brasstown Valley Resort, on Highway 76 near Young Harris College, across from the new Blue Ridge Mountains EMC.
