Bring the whole family out to the Rollins Planetarium at Young Harris College in nearby Young Harris, Georgia for the delightful children’s show, The Little Star that Could. This show tells a story of a little star in search of planets of his own. He meets new stars along the way and eventually finds his own planets. It teaches children about the solar system in a way that makes learning fun and easy to understand.

Come on out to the square in downtown Hiawassee, Georgia on November 12, 2010 from 10:15 AM to 2 PM to get a tasty meal and help a good cause at the same time. For $7, you can purchase a meal of a pulled pork sandwich, baked beans, cole slaw, a drink, and a cookie and one dollar will be donated for every meal purchased to the Towns County Food Pantry. It will be a good feeling to know that while you are eating, you are helping someone else have a meal too!

Visit the square in Hiawassee on September 25 – 26, 2010 for the 3rd annual Summer’s Last Kiss Art Festival. It is going to be a weekend of enjoyment of all the arts. There will be many art exhibits on display as well at music, dancing, crafts, poetry, and more. What a great way to say goodbye to summer.
