Annual Wine Harvest Festival

GrapesVisit Crane Creek Vineyards on October 23, 2010 to help them celebrate this year’s grape harvest with their annual Harvest Festival. There will be lots of fun for the whole family with hay rides, grape stomping, tours of the winery and activities for the kids at the kid’s tent. The event gets under way at 11 AM and runs until 6 PM.

Admission to the festival is $20 for adults, $10 for ages 13 – 20, 12 and under is Free. Included in the ticket price is lunch, admission to all activities, wine tasting, and a souvenir wine glass. Call 706-379-1236 for more details and information.

Fright Light Laser Concert

As Halloween is nearing, you can have a spine tingling good time watching the laser lights dancing and stars spinning to some great “monster music” at the O. Wayne Rollins Planetarium in Young Harris. There will be 2 evening performances on October 22, 2010, one at 7 PM and one at 8 PM.

If loud music, flashing lights or other similar effects disturb you, you may want to skip this show.

Night Creatures on the Phantom Trail

HalloweenBe prepared to be scared as you hike the Phantom Trail at Brasstown Valley Resort and Spa. As you begin your journey in the dark and eerie Brasstown Stables and step out into the night, you never know what may be lurking. The path will be open to any brave soul on October 23 -24, and 29 – 31, 2010 from 7:30 until the last scream. Hikes depart every quarter hour.

There will be hayrides and ghoulish treats available for those who prefer to not be spooked. This hike is quite frightening and parental discretion is advised. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent.
